Meet the educators

Author

Stephanie Butler is a math enthusiast with experience in PreK-12 math education. A mom of two, Stephanie wrote Our Number Friends as a way for her children and students to connect with numbers beyond rote counting and inspire creativity in mathematical thinking.

Illustrator

Bryan Quinlan loved working with his sister, Stephanie, on this book and enjoys seeing his three daughters’ excitement about math. He’s a proud principal for Chicago Public Schools - most recently founding a PreK across from the city zoo.
